BROOKLYN, NY - The Pratt Institute's women's volleyball team (13-5, 2-0 HVIAC) downed Purchase College and Five Towns College in straight sets during Think Pink on Saturday afternoon.
In the first match against Purchase College, the Cannoneers rolled to a three-set win, 25-12, 25-15, 25-11. Badesim Kubak (Istanbul, Turkey) led the way with 24 assists and three service aces. Elizabeth Hannah (Tampa, FL) added seven kills and two blocks while Madeline Markley (Minneapolis, MN) pitched in with five kills and two blocks.
Pratt dominated in all facets of the game against Purchase, finishing with 36 kills, 31 assists, 30 digs, and 18 service aces.
The Cannoneers continued right where they left off in the second match against Five Towns, winning in dominating fashion, 25-13, 25-16, 25-9. Kubak and Avery Toomes (Houston, TX) combined for 33 assists. Yessenia Sanchez (Windsor, CA) added a season-high seven kills and two blocks.
The two wins extended the Cannoneers win streak to eight straight, the longest of the season.
