Following his collegiate career, Barnes coached Track and Field for the Albany City School District from 2012-2017.
"We are very excited to have Jeffery lead our Cross Country and Track and Field programs, and are confident that the knowledge and skill set he brings will ensure that our programs continue to grow and flourish," said Director of Athletics and Recreation Christine Kanawada.
Both the Men's and Women's Cross Country teams will begin their season on September 9th in Castleton, VT at the Castleton University Invitational.
