Women's Basketball Player of the Week

DarNeisha Brice, New Rochelle

Junior • Guard • California, Md.

Brice led the Blue Angels to a 3-1 record over the past week averaging 21 points, five rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game. The junior tallied 28 points in a win over SUNY Delhi followed by a 32-point, 11-rebound double-double in a comeback victory versus CCNY.

Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week

Alexandria Knight, New Rochelle

Freshman • Forward • Briarcliff Manor, N.Y.

Knight was a force down low this past week posting three double-doubles for the Blue Angels over a 3-1 stretch. Her best outing was a 14-point, 14-rebound double-double in just 23 minutes as New Rochelle blew out Medgar Evers 81-40.

Men's Basketball Player of the Week

Zachary Dormer, SUNY ESF

Sophomore • Forward • Naples, N.Y.

Dormer averaged 27.5 points (50% FG) and seven rebounds per game in two conference matchups over the weekend highlighted by a 35-point, nine-rebound outburst in a 30-point win over Vaughn.

Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week

Logan Ameele, SUNY ESF

Freshman • Guard • Palmyra, N.Y.

Ameele averaged a double-double with 13.5 points and 10 rebounds per night in a 1-1 week for the Mighty Oaks. Most notably, the freshman totaled 16 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, and two steals in a 103-73 victory over Vaughn.

Honor Roll

Ricardo Ayuso, Berkeley • Men's Basketball

The senior scored 25 points, connecting on five three-pointers and eight of his 10 attempts from the free throw line to guide the Knights to their 31st consecutive home victory - a 92-89 triumph over Washington Adventist this past Wednesday.

Danila Belov, Davis • Men's Basketball

The rookie notched career highs of 13 points (5-6 FG) and seven rebounds off the bench in a win against Luzerne County CC.

Christian Castanho, Culinary • Men's Basketball

The freshman played the full 40 minutes and finished with 27 points, with four three-pointers, in a hard-fought game at Word of Life.

Hunter Schenkel, New Rochelle • Men's Basketball

The junior guard dropped 26 points on very efficient shooting (10-14 FG, 4-7 3FG) as well as six boards and a steal in a one-sided HVIAC victory over SUNY ESF.

Kelvin Tompkins, Davis • Men's Basketball

In a home win, the junior caught fire connecting on five threes on his way to 30 points. He also dished out seven assists, gathered five came, and came up with a pair steals in the triumph over Luzerne County CC.
