Women's Basketball Player of the Week

Dar'Neisha Brice, New Rochelle

Sophomore • Guard • California, Md.

Brice averaged 29.0 points on 42.7 percent shooting over a three-game week for New Rochelle. The sophomore pulled down 4.0 rebounds and swiped 3.0 steals an outing and was named to the All-Tournament team at the Dr. Betty Shabazz Tournament hosted by Medgar Evers.

Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week

Emily Betances, Vaughn

Freshman • Guard/Forward • Queens, N.Y.

In the Lady Warriors 60-39 victory over Five Towns, Betances posted a season-high 17 points with three rebounds.

Men's Basketball Player of the Week

Hunter Schenkel, New Rochelle

Sophomore • Guard • Roosevelt, N.Y.

Schenkel averaged 23.7 points and 5.0 rebounds over a three-game stretch for New Rochelle. In an 86-81 win over Brooklyn College, the sophomore poured in 31 points on 8-of-18 shooting, which included five three-pointers, and a perfect 10-for-10 from the charity stripe.

Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week

Kermarlie Mclean, Vaughn

Freshman • Guard • Brooklyn, N.Y.

Mclean netted 25 points on 10-of-17 shooting from the field in a losing effort to Five Towns. The freshman guard also pulled down four rebounds, handed out three assists and swiped as many steals in the lone game of the week for the Warriors.

The sophomore recorded a 23-point, 17-rebound double-double in a losing effort to Five Towns College.

Nicole White, Vaughn • Women's Basketball

The sophomore notched new career highs in points (28) and rebounds (15) in a non-conference win over Five Towns College.
